Welcome to ... Keltic Mist Acres Winter Eventing!
A nice way to finish off 2012, with a three-day-event. I've been wanting to host this show for a while, now.
1. Horses must be at least 3 years old, but preferably older. I don't want to see 4 year olds jumping over big xc courses, it just isn't realistic. Neither would they be doing piaffes.
2. All breeds are allowed but please be realistic - no mini ponies jumping big hedges
3. Photos must be taken in good lighting, no night-time shots, please. And the photos must be just for this show.
4. Riders must wear a helmet in all riding phases
5. Photos must fit the forums' guidelines
6. Stables can enter 3 riders, with 2 horses per rider = 6 horses altogether
6. Have fun!
Class 1 -
Minor editing is allowed here - reins, stirrups, mane patching, brightening the photo but nothing is judged.
Class 2 -
All editing is allowed here and you can earn yourself up to 10 extra points for your editing skills
Attire
Dressage
The Rider must wear the riding hat or a top hat. Dark blue or blackcompetition jacket, white/tan breeches and boots. No whip allowed. Military uniforms permitted. White gloves preferred.
The Horse can wear any saddle but the jumping one. If your horse is younger than 6, i would prefer to see him/her in a snaffle bridle, but every horse is different. Older horses are encouraged to wear the double dressage bridle. A white saddle pad is to be worn, with minimal colors on the outer piping. Logos are okay, but no bright colors. No wraps / boots on their legs. No martingales or breastplates.
Cross Country
The rider is to wear breeches and a riding hat. Whips are okay. Gloves optional, any top is fine, but preferably long sleeves.
The Horse - Any bridle and the jumping saddle. Any color saddle pad, boots are okay. Breastplates okay.
Show Jumping
The Rider should wear a dark blue/black competition jacket with white/tan breeches, hat & boots. Military uniforms permitted.
The Horse should wear any bridle, jumping saddle. Breastplate is okay. Any boots/wraps are encouraged
To enter this show, please post your photos as a reply to this thread.
Dressage - please pick one movement from the list - piaffe, pirouette, extended canter, extended trot, walk, salute
Cross Country - One photo, but the horse must be jumping
Show Jumping - One photo, but the horse must be jumping
