RHS Black Jack, born on december 20, 2012. Yes, he's one of the eldest horses in my stable, my fourth breeding request and he's still active. I must say that this horse may was overlooked becouse of my interest in APHs, but he still has a special place in Smart Color Stable. He got his own mare, RHS Majestic Maid, grey TWH girl. They gave us two foals to this day and I hope Jack will be healthy for long, long time. Enjoy his birthday photos, I wanted to take them in december 20, but... I hope it will not insult my black and white (wild) boy, which is with us for so long Thank you, Jack.

My interest is inscrutable, yes. I decided to get a Russian horse, as I like their language (I am trying to learn it and I already know azbuka), they are close "brothers" to my nation, so it's good for me, I understand few words even that I don't hear them before, as some words are the same/they sound similiar. So! I finally decided for Orlow trotter, maybe it is becouse of Tolstoj's trotter, maybe becouse it is bred by count. But main reason why I decided is that Russian riding horses are usually black, grey horses are not existing in this breed. And? I love grey horses, I live for three years MOSTLY with grey horses (old Kladruby horses). SCS Tsar Aleksandr aka "Sasha" is grey Orlow trotter that can be used in racing, but his main discipline is dressage, as it was with olympic winner Balagur. Your feedback is more than welcome. Sasha's model horse, beautiful Orlow trotterEtienne met his friend, Benoit, on Paris railway station. They went together to the equestrian club, Benoit said that he has something special for him today. And here he is, peacefully standing in box. Sasha.Outside he is not so calm as he was in stables-there is something wild in him. After bucking, running and doing monkey bussiness, he came to those two horsemen.Sasha in his trotter gear Dressage training and free movement photosOK. I think Corsaire decided quickly. His wife has her new horse as a late Xmas gift.

Beautiful horse! Just wow with regards to the rl horse! I can see why you needed to have one at your stables. This will sound silly, but I didn't think that gaited horses could be dressage horses and I thought that Orlow Trotters were gaited?

Orlovs are racing trotters, not your typical gaited like TWH or Saddlebreds. Orlovs developed from crossing Arabians with European Warmbloods. Because of their size (they are bulkier than most trotters), they actually excel in dressage and have lost favor in modern day trotting races, mostly being used to enhance other breeds. Lovely, Alain (and guess who also has a few Orlovs )

YAY! We will have little Orlows together xD yeah, they are notgaited and as you can see, one of them, Balagur, even won olympic gold, they are slower than other breeds of trotters + Russians bred a Russian trotter by breeding Orlows with standardbred...
I am in need of a jumper I don't have a SINGLE JUMPER (!!!) but I think he will end as a typical SCS horse that is not a western breed.
In dressage.
LOL.

Actually Balagur doesn't have Olympic medal, but he's one of a kind to participate in Olympics / competing GP level successfully while being very much "non dressage associated breed".
Anyway, your orlov is quite a looker and the Rio Ebro family shots are adorable!

Nah, so he is five, I though he won. Well it doesn't matter, actually he was great dressage horse.

I don't follow dressage that much, but yeah, he was great doing what he did among the "mightier" warmbloods. Though Blue Hors Matine is the one I'll always remember, she sure loved to perform!

OMG that second judge sounds like Alan Rickman xD I think I just mislead Balagur for another Olympic winner, so many horses... my country has 1 olympic winner and it was in three days eventing x)
