The entries as a whole will be judged using the following scorecard:
Breed Suitability (20 points): Because I would prefer to maintain a large sense of realism, I will be docking points based on how suitable your breed is for eventing. If your horse's breed has competed in Olympic eventing, you will automatically get 20 points in this category. Draft horses get an automatic 0 in this category, while all other breeds will be judged based on their breed and the horse's build.
Creativity (30 points): The creativity of your photos is VERY important. This will include the creativity of your angles, composition, jumps, turnout etc.
Quality of Editing (30 points): This only applies for Class 2. When editing, it's very important that you do it well. We will be looking at the way you edit manes, tails, tack, blurring etc. to make sure it isn't only done well, but it's also appropriate and tasteful.
Remember, we will not dock you points for things you didn't end up editing (unless it's very simple and basic, and you've demonstrated the skill to be able to edit that specific thing). We will, however, dock points for BAD editing. If you don't know how to edit something, practice it a bit before you try editing it in your entries.
The following scorecard will be used for individual events, and added to the score above:
Form (10 points): The form of your horse and rider is very important. Make sure your rider has correct positioning for all 3 events, and your horse's position is correct as well. Some incorrect position includes hanging legs, awkward dressage movements, etc.
Turnout (10 points): Your turnout is very important in competition. Adhering to the turnout rules and keeping add-ons such as flashes and figure 8s realistic will give you an automatic 10 in this category. Faults in turnout will be docked at the judge's discretion.
Luck (10 points): Your horse could be the best horse in the world and still have an off-day. Sometimes, riders are just not in the zone during competitions, and may not be riding at their best. Each entry will be given a random number from 0-10 added to their score in each event. This is to maintain realism, and make the competition not based entirely on skill.
