Rather major barn teasers for you, courtesy of boots' request for better view before build instructions. Future official barn/facility photos might show some slight differences, mainly in decor, but this is pretty much what DWH is/will be like. Click small ones for full size!Original/main barn & paddocks Inside the barn, 1st level (2nd level is hayloft + hangout + lodging for 4) Yes, there's only four stalls, since DWH stock resides in the paddocks on everyday basis, if there's no explicit reason to keep them inside. No need to be overprotective with "tough" western horses. ;) Broodmare/foaling barn & pasture One of the three foaling size stalls in the barn Three foaling size stalls, so we'll be having only three foals on the way at a time (i.e. max three foals born yearly). Straight down views of the barns and vicinity1st one's focus is the barn + paddocks. Partially visible also the road, hitching posts, round pen... house is little farther up from the hitching posts. 2nd one's focus then obviously is the foaling barn + pasture. Also visible part of the main barn, corner of the house, round pen... official photos would have the missing pathway between lots photoshopped in. There we go. How many are planning to move in to DWH? ;D Lastly, I know I've said this many times, but site should launch soon! I'm hoping to finish things off this week, so keep your fingers crossed for launching it on the weekend. Hopefully. If not, it'll happen this month for sure, I promise!

Jes - Lol! Thank you for the compliment! You know, when I resized these and noticed that Windy ended up in quite a few, I actually thought that "Ok, she'll probably be the first thing that Jes notices in these..." And look what happened, you did notice her! :D The bay roan was in the Christmas card too; barn name is Cass and she's the oldest horse at DWH. Really lovely little thing. <3 (She's also smallest with Sheena, both are 15.0hh/152cm) Annie - Thanks! I'm surprisingly happy with the DWH set up and that's pretty rare, so it's nice that others like it as well!

These are kinda more scrapbook material, but decided not to make one before the site launch, so this shall do... And in the end these are teasers in more ways than one... So, here we go! (Almost 1:1 copy of Equus scrapbook post, too lazy/tired to redo working formula, lol ;D)Introducing DWH partner/townie stallionsDWH relies quite heavily to own "story world" and being somewhat independent when it comes to such things as breeding. While using just own stallions would be quite natural thing, there isn't and won't be more than a handful of them, which means that at some point all horses would be more or less related, if they're all what's used. Outside stallions would fix this, sure, but in most cases requirements clash with our way to do things and it's quite a hassle. So, problem has been solved with having in-game partners/neighbors, that provide stallions as well as new horses with pedigree. ;) These stallions aren't available to outside mares. Only way to get something sired by them is to get DWH bred horse and perhaps as a prize for winning an Dequine organized event. Although... there's a tiny possibility that good connections to DWH might offer the chance, when asked very, very nicely. So yeah, these fellows are a bit "you can look, but not touch" type to most. :P Rather small, only 14.3hh (150cm) sorrel cutting and reining champion owned by DWH's in-game partner Bearview Ranch.
Nearly 15.1hh (154cm) stunning golden palomino cutting and reining champion owned by DWH's in-game partner Bearview Ranch.
Over 15.2hh (158cm) tovero stunner with two blue eyes. Working cow and cutting champion owned by DWH's in-game partner Road's End Farm.
Stunning, 15.2hh (157cm) black natural cutter. Cutting and working cow champion owned by DWH's in-game partner Road's End Farm.
Nearly 15.1hh (154cm) bay varnish roan. Working cow and ranch work champion owned by DWH's in-game partner Wyandanch Appaloosas.
They've been made a bit too good looking, 'cause I'd love to have them all at DWH... even though I do kinda own them already... haha! :D But they will all make great DWH bred progeny for sure, and few have actually already done just that. ♥ And as everyone have probably noticed... site launch didn't happen in January... Said this so many times already, but once again I'm hoping to make it happen this month. But yeah, no promises and it's better not to be too excited... there's sings of a certain formula in this... ;D

lalalalla I WANT 'EM ALL.... lallalalaa They used to hang horse thieves where DWH is back in the "wild west" days, just so you know... Anyhow, you'll need to gather only four's progeny anymore, since you've got already one by Few Dollars More coming. ;D
