This is for those who can't read on the photo! Also I know its kinda crappy, but I had ALOT of problems with it! I really need to over thing it again!
The title of this article says it all folks! Steelport is finally getting their own local Equine Center that is available for the public! This new Equine Center will be located about a mile or two outside of the city, in the West Elk district of the country side. The name for the Equine Center will be called Steelport Park, which was voted on by the residence of the West Elk district. Many of the residence, and families are very excited to see Steelport Park come into their town, and most of the farmers around the area feels like it would help them pick up extra business! Steelport Park would offer to the public; Lessons for all ages, trail rides, boarding, training, local horse shows, training and as well as give tours of some of the buildings to the public! The owner of the estates also plans on having an Equine Vet Center place up, and will be open to the public that has their own personal horses, as well as the local farmer’s work horses!
The owner of the estates is Mrs. AJ Winters, who earn the land for the center from her grandfather’s will. When first meeting up with AJ Winters one would never guess she was much into the horse business, with the neon purple roots in her hair, and the bright yellow highlights. The young woman looks to care such a rebellious fashion to her. But when we went to see her on location at one of the stables, which is the staff boarding house, she was nothing but great smiles, and amazing with her horses! When asked about the center, and what it meant to her this was her reply. “I, myself, grew up in the inner city of Steelport, and never really had the greatest experience there. When I was a kid it was still pretty bad in the town, and barely had anything for kids to go to. It was either play out in the streets, where gang violence was seen almost everywhere, or stay in doors. Which I disliked a lot when I was a kid, and still do! But my grandparents, well when I went to visit them I forgot all the troubles I had back at home. Most of the locals here in West Elk knew of my grandfather, and had run a very successful dairy business. Their neighbors had some horses, big horses as well. But they would let me come over and brush them, and do things with the horses. As a kid, it really met a lot to me, it felt like the horses didn’t judge me as a person, and also listen to what I had to tell them without being scolded or anything else. In a long story short, they helped me keep out of trouble back in the city. This is what I also want to do for kids now, since things haven’t got much better for Steelport. I want to make this place a safe haven for children who was like me.”
AJ hopes to have the place open by mid-spring(hoping for even sooner then this!), proving that winter weather doesn’t hold back in building. Currently they are working on finishing the Staff house, which is a small area with a nice long house to provide staff without a home a place to stay, as well as a place to board their own horses! Staff’s horses are boarded for free on this location. The other project is restoring AJ’s grandparent’s farm, which is being made up to be the main stable, as well as her main living space.
